Microsoft Azure's Custom IP Address Prefix feature lets eligible public IPv4 ranges be onboarded into an Azure subscription. Microsoft is permitted to advertise the range, and addresses derived from the prefix can be used in the same way as Azure-owned public IP address prefixes.
Azure supports unified and global/regional deployment models for custom IPv4 onboarding. After provisioning, you can derive public IP prefixes and standard SKU public IPs for supported Azure resources while keeping consistent public addressing across environments.
To use BYOIP on Azure, the range must pass Azure validation requirements, be provisioned as a Custom IP Address Prefix, and then be commissioned for advertisement by Microsoft.
