Bring your InterLIR Global–leased IP range to Vultr and announce it globally via BGP

Vultr supports BYOIP through BGP peering on both Cloud Compute (VPS) and Bare Metal instances. Once you establish a BGP session with Vultr's network (ASN 20473 for bare metal, ASN 64515 for VPS), you advertise your prefix and it becomes routable across all Vultr regions.

You can configure BGP using BIRD or any other routing daemon on your Vultr instance. Vultr allows you to bring up to 5 prefixes (IPv4 and IPv6 combined) per account, with each IPv4 prefix between /16 and /24. The BYOIP feature itself carries no additional Vultr charges — standard instance rates apply.

InterLIR Global provides the LOA documentation, ROA/RPKI support, and WHOIS verification records needed to validate your prefix with Vultr. Our team guides you through each step of the onboarding process.

🖥️

Cloud Compute (VPS)

Establish a BGP session on any Cloud Compute instance and advertise your BYOIP prefix. Your leased IPs become the routable public addresses for your workloads.

⚙️

Bare Metal

Peer directly with Vultr's backbone (AS20473) from dedicated bare metal hardware for low-latency BGP announcements with full control over routing policies.

🌐

BGP Anycast

Advertise the same BYOIP prefix simultaneously from multiple Vultr locations for anycast routing — ideal for global DNS, CDN edge, or low-latency service delivery.

🔗

Floating IPs & High Availability

Combine BYOIP with Vultr's reserved IP concept to build HA setups where traffic fails over between instances while keeping the same public IP addresses.

☸️

Kubernetes Engine (VKE)

Use BYOIP addresses as service load balancer IPs for Kubernetes clusters, ensuring stable, known endpoints for ingress controllers across cluster redeployments.
