IPv4 Addresses in the ARIN Region
InterLIR Global supports IPv4 transactions in the ARIN region — the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. Registered broker, full transfer support.
InterLIR Global is a registered broker with ARIN, authorized to facilitate IPv4 transfers between organizations in the ARIN service region.
ARIN requires network utilization justification for many transfer types. Our team prepares and validates documentation to meet ARIN's requirements.
We source blocks from verified US and Canadian network owners. Geolocates correctly in North America for cloud, CDN, and hosting use cases.
Need to move ARIN space to the RIPE NCC or APNIC region? We coordinate inter-RIR transfers under the applicable transfer agreements.
IPv4 in the ARIN Region
ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers) administers IP address space for the United States, Canada, and many Caribbean territories. The ARIN region represents the largest single market for IPv4 transfers by volume.
InterLIR Global is a registered broker with ARIN. We can facilitate intra-ARIN transfers and inter-RIR transactions, coordinate with ARIN’s transfer team, and prepare the documentation your transaction requires.

Transfer Process and Requirements
ARIN has a more documentation-intensive transfer process than RIPE NCC:
- Buyer needs justification: Under ARIN’s needs-based transfer policy (Section 8.3), Buyers must demonstrate how they plan to use the block within a defined period
- Registration: Both Buyer and Seller must have a valid ARIN Org ID and a signed RSA (Registration Services Agreement)
- KYC: InterLIR Global conducts identity and business verification on all parties
- Escrow: Recommended for ARIN transfers given the longer timeline
InterLIR Global helps Buyers prepare utilization plans that satisfy ARIN’s review criteria.
Supported Block Sizes
- Lease: /24 and larger (sub-assignment does not require ARIN transfer)
- Purchase: /24 and larger; ARIN’s minimum transfer unit is /24
- Larger blocks (/20, /18, /16) are available but require appropriate needs justification
Transfer Timeline
ARIN transfers are more involved than RIPE NCC:
- Standard ARIN-to-ARIN transfer: 4–8 weeks from contract to completion
- Documentation preparation by InterLIR Global typically begins within 3–5 business days of contract signing
- Timeline depends on ARIN staff review queue and completeness of Buyer’s needs justification
Leasing (sub-assignment without ARIN transfer) is available and follows the same 24-hour LOA delivery available in other regions.
Why ARIN Space Matters
Organizations operating cloud infrastructure, CDN, or email platforms that serve North American audiences often require ARIN-registered space. Address blocks registered in ARIN geolocate to the USA or Canada by default, which affects routing preference and geo-targeting accuracy.
For BYOIP into AWS, GCP, or Azure in the US region, ARIN space is the standard requirement.
Other Regions
Also operating in RIPE NCC, APNIC, LACNIC, and AFRINIC.
